Troop 382 Veterans Day Parade 2018
November 9th - 11th 2018
Troop 382 from Dagsboro Delaware Helped lead the 2018 Veterans Day Parade and enjoyed the New York wilderness!
The New York Veterans day camp out was a Blast. Even thought we had a low turnout and the weather was not great, a good time was had by all that attended. On Saturday, our morning started out with a ferry ride over on the Long Island ferry and a subway ride to the Museum of Natural History. The scouts spent half a day in the museum, followed by a walk through Central Park where we saw the memorial to John Lennon. We visited the Central Park zoo and then back to camp for a good meal and some well-needed rest. Sunday morning the scouts participated in the Veterans Day parade hosted in New York, which was the 200th anniversary of WW1. We returned to camp around 6:00 p.m., enjoyed a nice campfire and some s’mores before turning in. The Troop departed about 10 a.m. Monday morning arriving home around 4:00 p.m. What a great time and I am already looking forward to 2021. Thanks scouts for a great time.
